As some of you might of noticed, I took an abrupt hiatus from instagram/blogging a few months ago, so my apologies for missing your comments or messages! The good news is, yes, I'm still alive, haha, and the even better news is that my husband and I are expecting a baby boy this fall. :) We're super excited, but when I first found out earlier this spring, I quickly decided one of the first things I needed to do was take a temporary social media and blogging break. As fun and rewarding as it is, my digital life takes up plenty of time and energy, and between my day job (which had just ramped up in terms of workload!), getting my apartment and finances baby-ready and some crazy first-trimester fatigue, I just didn't have the bandwidth to keep up with everything.
But now that I'm in the home stretch of pregnancy, I've found that the urge to blog and post and like and comment is slowly coming back. I'm feeling a whole lot less stressed and anxious about this tiny little human I'm growing nowadays, and I'm excited to share a bit more about my life, and create an outlet for all the craziness that (I'm told) the mom life entails. So yes, I'm back on the grid, but I'm definitely going to be switching it up a bit. My life is now so far removed from what it was when I first started blogging, and I've felt a little limited by my thrifty fashion-focused persona for some time now. So while I'll always have a special place in my heart for thrifting and sale shopping (and I'll still definitely be posting about my budget-friendly buys!), I'm broadening out and embracing a new start as more of a lifestyle and yes, "mommy" blogger. But since I'll always try to keep things cost-concious, I'll continue blogging under my current domain, talesfromthethrift.com, for now, while I've switched up my instagram account to my name, @christinapark. I'm still the same old me, though, so I hope that if you've enjoyed my thrifty fashion adventures and online shopping scores, you'll stick with me as I awkwardly enter this next chapter of my life, haha. Can't wait to share more with all of you soon!
