Now that the holidays are all wrapped up, the only thing we have left to look forward to is this cold winter being OVER. Things have been fairly gloomy here in NY, and if it wasn't for my huge collection of cozy coats, I don't know what I'd do. Speaking of which, I recently added a new oversized faux suede coat to the mix, thanks to Make Me Chic. Oversized coats are pretty much the best, since there's tons of room for layering heavy sweaters underneath, and the coat's faux fur collar and fleece-like lining only add to the warmth factor. Plus, it's under $40, which puts it in solid bargain territory.
I took the coat out for a spin after a recent snowfall, pairing it with a chunky cream sweater (a $7 sale score from Joe Fresh) and some jeans (an $8 bargain found while shopping in Bangkok!). I threw on my black patent booties from Public Desire (these were a $22 sale find, and I've linked to similar PD sale score below!) and some $6 street vendor sunnies, bringing my total outfit to around $83.
