While it still feels like fall is far, far away when you're sweating like crazy on an overheated, way-too-humid underground subway platform, I know that in reality, cooler temps are on their way, and it's time to plan accordingly. No more shopping for sundresses and sandals--it's time to get serious about layersssss. First on my fall shopping checklist? A light bomber jacket to get me through the start of the season.
I was super excited when MakeMeChic sent over this adorable pink bomber to try out, since it happened to be exactly what I'm looking for. It's the perfect weight for these first days of fall--windproof enough for those chillier-than-expected evenings, but light enough to tie around the waist if you don't end up needing it. Plus, the dusty pink shade makes it that much more fun to wear. I paired the jacket with a few casual basics, including some black denim, a white tank and a pair of white sneakers.
The best part of all, of course, is the bomber's $27 price tag. Def a total score! (Just as an FYI, while I typically order up a size on MakeMeChic just to be safe, I ended up sticking to my regular size on this order, and it fit perfectly.) And if you're on the hunt for something other than a jacket (or you live in a warmer locale!), you can check out a few of my summer scores from MakeMeChic here and here. Happy hunting! xo
