I've had my eye on some of the pieces from the ASOS Africa Collection--which is their sustainable line made with African-inspired textiles--for a while now. The prints are to die for! So once the range went on sale, I was quick to snap something up, deciding to go with this sleeveless shift dress (with pockets!) that was 50% off at $31.
I wore the dress out for the first time to a after-work food crawl this week, figuring a simple shift was perfect for the hot weather and loose enough to allow for plenty of eating, haha. The fabric is seriously soft and breathable, and I'm obsessed with the print--it's definitely one of my new summer faves. Plus, it's super easy to wear to work or dress down for a more off-duty vibe. I was actually so impressed with the fabric/quality (the dress even arrived folded in a gorgeous African textile pouch!), I'm thinking of buying one or two more pieces from the collection before it sells out, with my eye on this dress ($39) in particular.
I paired the dress with some comfy blue suede sandals (around $37) scored on sale a while back from Banana Republic (unfortunately already sold out!), and some $10 street vendor sunnies. With my gifted bag in tow, the whole outfit came out to around $78.
