Accidentally went overboard on the '90s vibes with my outfit last Saturday, but I'm not even mad about it. IMO, the more '90s, the better. :)
Since I was spending the day out in Brooklyn, I figured it'd be fitting to throw on one of my fave vintage finds, a daisy-print black-and-white dress (last worn here) that I found at The Sharing Place in East Harlem a few years ago for just $4.50. Yes, $4.50--crazy good find, I know. (Obviously can't link to this exact dress, but I found a couple of dupes--including this one for $20 and another for $18--online!) And because it was kinda overcast, I added a denim jacket (thrifted for just $5 from Unique Thrift in Downtown Brooklyn), tied around the waist, natch.
The look quickly snowballed into straight '90s territory, however, with the addition of a black choker, which definitely sparked some elementary school nostalgia for me. While I've been seeing super chic chokers pop up everywhere, I didn't wanna invest too much in an oh-so-on-trend item, and bought this one on a whim via eBay for a buck. Couldn't resist hopping on the choker bandwagon at that price!
I finished of the casual OOTD with a pair of white sneakers, scored for just $21 from Call It Spring, and a leather black bag, c/o Furla. (And just a heads up, the shoes are currently on sale for even cheaper--just $18! Definitely a steal, and I can vouch for the fact that they're totally comfy right outta the box.) Head to toe the whole look came out to around $32.
