Looks like spring is finally sticking around. This past weekend started out with April showers, but things cleared up by Saturday afternoon, and I hit up the annual Buffalo Exchange Earth Day Dollar Sale in the East Village. The sale was def not the best--I usually buy at least a dozen items, sometimes more, and this year I only got five pieces (which I'll be styling and sharing soon!). Maybe I'm just getting more discerning with age, and less willing to cram more into my already full closet?
I wore a few classic spring basics, including this denim skirt, which I bought for around $4 on the streets of Harajuku during my visit to Tokyo last year (found a similar one here for $12!). I love that it's the perfect length and shape for running around the city--it's super comfy, and just long enough that you can sit on the subway without having to worry about too much skin-to-seat contact.
I added a basic long-sleeve white tee to the mix, which came courtesy of Tsquared Tees, and added a sweater ($7, from the Joe Fresh sale rack) around the waist in case things got unexpectedly chilly. I finished off the look with my fave pair of Forever 21 shoes (seriously, one of my best F21 buys of all time--and they're on sale right now for just $20!), a cute crossbody c/o Furla and a pair of Ebay sunnies (scored for just under $4, and available here). Head to toe, the whole look came out to around to $35.
