There's something about a look with super short shorts paired with extra long sleeves that I love. And if they happen to be bell sleeves, even better. I used last weekend's Spring Fashion Swap (recap coming soon!) as an excuse to wear both this bell-sleeved top, which was one of my finds from the recent Buffalo Exchange $1 Sale, and my vintage Levis cut-offs ($28, purchased from an Ebay vintage dealer), resulting in a cool + comfy look perfect for a day trip into Bushwick.
Besides the bell sleeves and lace detailing, my fave part of this top is the back opening, which exposes just the right amount of lower back. I paired the top and cut-offs with an old fringed purse (purchased long ago during a trip to the Philippines, cost unknown) and, keeping with the vintage vibe, a pair of round-frame sunglasses ($0, hand-me-down from a friend).
Before hitting up the swap, I had originally been wearing a pair of simple black sandals, but once there, I found a pair of gorgeous denim wedges from vegan shoe company Bhava Studio (you can find similar styles here!), which I instantly fell in love with and decided to wear home. Mid-swap outfit change! Head-to-toe, the whole weekend look came out to just $29.
