Everything's better with just a little bit of leather (or in this case, faux-leather!). I scored this black skirt at the Spring Fashion Swap earlier this month for exactly $0, and I was drawn to both the chic draping and leather detailing. Obviously, a black skirt goes with pretty much anything, but thanks to Vanity Room, I was able to pair it with the perfect leather-trimmed top.
Vanity Room was kind enough to send this lace-and-leather crop top over for me to style, and with this skirt, it's pretty much a match made in coordinating heaven. And how cute is the scalloped detailing? (As I mentioned in this previous post, Vanity Room designs and manufactures all of their pieces in New York, making it a great option for sustainably-minded shoppers. And their current collection is reasonably priced, with the vast majority of items well under $80!)
Since the lace, leather and draping add plenty of interest to the outfit, I kept my accessories super simple with a pair of taupe heels, which were just a $1 at Cure Thrift Store (and also worn here). Oh and P.S., be sure to follow Vanity Room on Facebook to stay up to date on the retailer's new items and flash sales. Happy hunting! xoxo
