This weekend was pretty rainy and cold, so I spent most of it cooped up indoors and catching up on my Netflix queue. I've been itching to try on some of my spring thrift finds, however, so while taking a break in-between episodes of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," I threw on this thrifted little black dress and staged an impromptu indoor shoot.
I scored this LBD ($4.50) while visiting the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Austin, TX, and while it looks like a simple shift from the front, it's got a cool crochet-like cutout adding plenty of interest from the back. In addition to being super comfy, it's a perfect piece to dress both up or down (just switch out the clutch and heels for a crossbody and flats!), and I'm very excited for it be warm enough to actually wear outside.
For the indoor trial run, I styled the dress with another St. Vincent find, a gold leaf-like pendant necklace that I found for just $4. I added a pair of hand-me-down heels from a friend's swap party ($0), and finished off the look with a gifted black clutch, bringing the whole ensemble to to a measly $8.50. :)
