Sure, they call Chicago is the "Windy City," but I'd argue that NYC gets just as windy. Over the weekend, I ran some errands in Soho and did a quick shoot with blogger bae Sunita V., but the cold wind was so strong, I was barely able to snap any outfit photos. (Picture lots of hat-flying-off-head and scarf-in-the-face shots, haha.)
I tried my best to stay warm with my go-to gray coat (just $20, from the Salvation Army Coat Sale), plus a pair of black pants ($20, from a local NYC boutique) with some tights layered underneath, cause it was seriously THAT cold.
I added some extra warmth with my grid-print blanket scarf (a $17 secondhand find from Ebay) and a blue wool hat by Roxy (also worn here), which I scored for just $10.80 on Amazon a while back. Adding in a pair of $6 sunnies and a pair of $45 boots from Dorothy Perkins, the whole windy day look came out to roughly $117.
