The fall always makes me nostalgic for the start of school--especially back to school shopping. And I guess I subconsciously slipped back into student mode when I picked up this vintage varsity jacket-inspired sweater back in September, while shopping at a thrift store (this one, actually) in Tokyo's fashion-focused Harajuku hood. And no, I have no idea what the Y, B or number 5 on this sweater might be referencing, but whatevs--it's super cute and it was just around $7, which meant I was definitely squeezing it into my suitcase.
I layered the sweater over a black chiffon dress (also worn here), which was a free find from the Ethical Writers Co.'s Spring Fashion Swap event earlier this year and, even though it's been pretty warm for October, I kept things autumnal with my fave pair of black booties ($45) from Dorothy Perkins. I finished off the look with a pair of $6 sunnies and my gifted black bag, bringing the whole head to toe look to $58.
