This past weekend brought the cold, and it was finally time to start doing things like baking apple muffins, buying decorative gourds and taking all the coats out of the back of the closet. I'd been getting by with a light trench coat the past few weeks, but for a shopping trip on Sunday, it was definitely chilly enough to warrant wearing my vintage camel coat ($20, from the Salvation Army Coat Sale).
I also rocked a couple of finds from my recent honeymoon travels, including a white fringe-detailed tee that I found while thrifting in Tokyo for around $7, and a pair of high-waisted jeans that I bought while shopping in the Hongdae neighborhood of Seoul for around $20.
I didn't really feel like messing with my hair, so I threw it up into a bun and kept my flyaways at bay with a striped head wrap, which I nabbed for free at a friend's fashion swap. I finished off the look with a pair of black oxfords from Forever 21 that are regularly $29.90, but were purchased using a 40% off coupon I was randomly emailed, so they came out to just $18. (IMO, Forever's really upped the comfort level of their shoes lately, and these are proof of that--I walked around in these for hours with just a pair of thin low-cut socks, and was totally blister free!) With a pair of $6 sunnies and a gifted black bag, the whole head to toe look came out to $71
