Simple Sunday

Hey thrifters--hoping you had a great weekend! Mine was full of plenty of R&R, and I spent a whole lot of time at home. Who needs to go to a club when you've got a stocked fridge, a heavy Netflix queue and a cuddly pup??

On Sunday, I finally ventured out to explore my new neighborhood a bit, checking out the LIC Flea (lots of Asian fusion food and no lines!) and Long Island City waterfront with its gorgeous views of Manhattan.

I got dressed pretty spur-of-the-moment for the excursion, but the weekend look came out a bit cuter than expected, so I opted to snap a few pics in front of a brick warehouse. I wore a pair of comfy navy shorts I got from a J. Crew outlet store a few months ago for around $20, and paired it with a crisp white lace tank ($1.50, Underground Thrift Store) that I last wore in Philly.

I finished off the minimalist outfit with a gold bangle from H&M (gifted to me by blogger buddy Sunita V.) and a gold BaubleBar choker necklace (also gifted). With my nude $5 heels from Cauz for Pawz and some $6 sunnies, the whole look came out to around $33.
