For some reason temps are back down in the 50s this week, and I'm already reminiscing about the summer-like weather of last weekend. On Sunday, I had a perfect day wandering around some beautiful NYC neighborhoods I hadn't been to in a while, including Washington Square Park and Greenwich Village.
Washington Square was packed with crazy characters and tourists, offering plenty of good people watching, and I spent several hours at the dog park, where my friends and I watched Koko play and sniff other dogs' butts. Afterwards, we discovered an empty alley with perfectly-manicured townhouses and a cobblestone street, so we snapped some photos and pretended we were vacationing somewhere far away in Europe. Throw in a delicious, dollar slice of pizza and some iced coffee, and it was pretty much a perfect late spring afternoon!
Since Sunday's temps were well into the 80s, I wore a loose-fitting vintage dress, found for $4.50 at The Sharing Place (also worn here), and a chambray tank I bought on sale at Buffalo Exchange for $8 (recently worn here). I kept comfy in some Dolce Vita sandals, which I found at Cure Thrift Shop's dollar sale for, yup, $1. Adding in some sunnies ($6), the whole head-to-toe look came out to very thrifty $19.50.
