Happy Friday thrifters! Looking forward to the holiday weekend, and I'm hoping to get some thrift shopping in, since I've successfully abstained from doing any huge damage the past few weeks. Goodwill NY/NJ is offering 35% off storewide on Monday, May 26, and I'm hoping more thrift shops will join in with some sale action. (The East Village's Cure Thrift just announced everything is half off today, Friday, May 23.)
Last weekend, I indulged in a little retail therapy on the Upper East Side, after stumbling across the Arthritis Foundation Thrift Shop. Prices were a bit higher than what I'm normally used to, but there were some discount racks, and I was able to snag these paisley-print vintage pants for just $5.
I paired the comfy, loose-fitting pants with my black chiffon-and-jersey top ($4, from The Sharing Place), and a simple gray cardigan I thrifted way long ago (cost unknown). I added my $1 heels from Cure Thrift's most recent dollar sale, and head-to-toe, the whole look came out to around $10.
