After spending the Easter holiday weekend relaxing upstate with the family, facing the workweek on Monday was a bit of a personal challenge (isn't it always?). And so, instead of springtime pastels, I decided to mourn the end of weekend with a nearly all-black work outfit.
I went with the ikat-printed pants I scored at Goodwill for $7.50 (last worn here), and paired it with a $10 black faux-leather top I purchased at a small East Village boutique's closing sale. For footwear, I decided to try and break-in some new black wedges ($32) from TJ Maxx, which I bought as a chic-but-sensible option for work.
Since there's still an early spring chill in the air, I also wore a black vintage jacket, which I snagged at the Thrift Disco in Brooklyn for just $10 earlier this month. (BTW, the next Thrift Disco is on May 31!) And, because the sun was out in full force, I finished off the look with my cateye sunglasses, c/o WowVintage. (Get the same pair here.) Head to toe, the Monday work outfit came out to $59.50.
