I've been on a mission to simplify my look with comfortable, easy-to-wear pieces, and a few of my most recent finds happen to fit the bill perfectly. Earlier this week, I hit up St. Luke's Thrift Shop in the West Village to check out their end-of-the-season sale. (The sale--which includes a "Buy The Bag" portion in its final days--runs through Saturday, March 22 if you want to check it out!) While I was visiting, any clothing under $50 was priced at $5, so I picked up a sporty-looking DKNY nylon skirt and a Selected Homme men's sweatshirt for $5 each. I also found a brand new Betsey Johnson phone case for $5, bringing my total thrift haul to $15.
I ended up pairing the skirt and sweatshirt together, and accessorizing with my black ankle boots from Housing Works ($6.50, last worn here) and a gifted necklace from BaubleBar. I finished off the outfit with my black cat-eye sunglasses, c/o WowVintage (you can find the same pair here for $12.) Head to toe, my simple ensemble came out to just $16.50.
