Whenever I wear my vintage camel coat (scored for just $20 at the Salvation Army Coat Sale!), I tend to go back-to-basics with my entire look (i.e. this recent outfit). For a laid-back look last Friday, I ended up going a more classic route yet again, rocking it with a basic cable-knit sweater (last worn here), found for just $8 at Goodwill, and a pair of high-waisted jeans, which were scored for free during a friend's recent clothing swap. (My friend's leaving the country soon, and we're roughly the same size, which means I added a ton of new-to-me stuff to my closet!)
I decided to go a little retro with a striped headband, also snagged at the clothing swap for exactly $0. I kinda grabbed it on a whim, but thank god I did, since I've been wearing it non-stop since, as a stylish way to keep my hair outta my face on those not-so-great hair days.
I finished off the look with a pair of $6 sunnies and a $5 secondhand bag, and with my $67 Chelsea boots from Dorothy Perkins, the whole ensemble came out to $106.
