On Saturday, I met up with a friend at one of my favorite coffee shops--The Bean in the East Village. Not only does it make a mean iced chai latte, The Bean also allows dogs, meaning its one of the best non-outdoor spots to hang out with your pooch in NYC. And if hanging out outside is more your style, there are also plenty of benches offering prime people-watching real estate.
I threw on a pair of comfy cropped jeans ($7, from the Boysville Auxillery Thrift Shop in San Antonio, TX) and my black chiffon-and-jersey tank ($4, from The Sharing Place Thrift Shop), also worn here. Since there was a definite fall chill in the air, I layered with a lightweight kimono-style jacket ($4.50, from a church flea market) and finished off the look with a pair of teal earrings (gifted). The outfit, minus shoes ($20, Payless), was completely thrifted and came out to $15.50. With shoes, everything totaled $35.50 head-to-toe.
