It's been overcast the last couple of days in NYC, and the gray clouds and dark skies have definitely influenced in my clothing choices. Yesterday, I pulled out some comfy gray skinnies (just $5.50), which I dug out of a recent donation pile at St. George's Thrift Shop a few weeks ago. I did some black-on-black layering on top with a chiffon/jersey tank ($4, The Sharing Place Thrift Shop) and my go-to blazer ($7.99, Forever 21), and added a mixed metal chain necklace, which was a free castoff from my mom.
My total outfit came out to just under $18, and with my black wedges ($20, Payless), the head-to-toe look totaled just $38. While you can't go wrong with a uniform of black and neutral tones, here's hoping that the weekend will be sunnier, putting me back in my bright-color, summertime mood. Happy thrifting!
