It's been a busy week full of deadlines for me, and so I did my best to offset stress with a soothing look of soft florals and lace earlier this week. I went back to my roots by pulling out my first-ever thrifted find--a vintage lace skirt ($4, also worn here)--and added my recently purchased rose-patterned chiffon top scored at St. George's Thrift Shop for just $5. Sticking to light colors, I topped the look off with my blush-colored statement necklace ($10, last worn here) and nude peep-toe heels ($15), both of which were purchased at a small boutique in Jackson Heights, Queens. The outfit came out to just $19, and with shoes, the head-to-toe look totaled $34.
Also, to any NYC peeps, just a heads up that this Sunday is one of the final days to take advantage of Buy the Bag's Sunday Funday deal! (The absolute last Sunday Funday is Sunday, September 1.) If you buy one bag for $25 and bring a friend, that friend gets their bag for free. And once you split the cost, you effectively each get a bag of clothing for just $12.50, which is a crazy deal and the same amount you'd probably pay for a single disposable piece at Forever 21. So get digging and happy hunting!
