After a weekend chock full of birthday celebrations for friends, I'm feeling less than refreshed this Monday morning--but hopefully the Champagne-fueled memories will help carry me through the rest of this work week! I kicked things off on Friday with a small dinner-and-drinks celebration for a close friend at Distilled, a new Tribeca hotspot. Highlights included some scrumptious chicken wings, a custom cocktail made especially for the birthday girl and a batch of fashion-inspired cupcakes. Afterwards, we washed things down with a few more drinks at Ward III, where I ordered the Big Knife cocktail--a deadly concoction of rye whiskey, Limoncello, Fernet Branca and fresh-squeezed lemon.
In honor of the occasion, I decided to wear one of my most recent vintage finds--a bright blue button up dress purchased for just $1 from East Harlem's Sharing Place Thrift Store. I dressed up the simple look with a sleek patent leather belt ($6, NY&Co.), my D&G wedges ($9, Cauz for Pawz) and a Michael Kors purse (gifted). Head-to-toe, the party look came out just $16.
