I'm definitely not a morning person, so getting ready for work at the crack of dawn is not an easy task. If I haven't thought about what I plan on wearing the night before--which unfortunately happens more often than it should--the next morning is pretty much guaranteed to be a total stress-inducing crapshoot. So in an effort to crack down on my poor preparation habits, I've made an effort to create a few extra tried-and-true work outfits that I can throw on at the drop of a hat.
After a particularly hectic morning last week, I wore this pre-planned 'fit to work, and afterwards headed straight to an outdoor cocktail event. I picked up the printed blouse from Unique Thrift Store ($3), while the gray Banana Republic skirt was scored at the Salvation Army for just $5. I paired them with a belt ($1.87, Buy The Bag), my white blazer ($7.49, Forever 21), some gifted jewelry and my usual Payless peep-toes ($20). The outfit cost came to just under $18, and head-to-toe was around $38.
