Patterned Behavior

You know what are fun? Patterns. And what can be even more fun are a great pair of patterned pants, like the ones that have been popping up on celebs, models and bloggers for a while now. I found a super-soft pair of red and white patterned pants ($1.87) at the Housing Works Buy The Bag sale this winter, and have been waiting all this time to finally wear them.

Now that it's warming up, I was able to walk outside without a coat for the first time all year. I marked the momentous occasion with a summery, white peplum top ($1.99, from Pawz for Cauz) and lightweight black blazer from Forever 21 ($7.99). My earrings were a lovely gift from my good friend Kevanne, and so those were essentially free! Outfit total? $11.95 minus the shoes, and just under $27 with them. My favorite part about this ensemble is that while the blazer and heels dress things up a bit, the pants feel just like a cozy pair of sweatpants. Plus, the peplum top is perfect for disguising food babies. Comfy and chic!
