Welcome back to the workweek, thrifters! My posts have been somewhat sporadic lately, due to a new apartment and a dodgy Internet connection, but now that I'm finally settling in, I've been able to return to (somewhat!) regularly scheduled programming.
Taking a cue from last week's round-up of "military chic" finds, I decided to debut my own latest military-inspired look with a new-to-me camouflage tee ($1) this weekend. I dug it out of the boys section during my trip to the Orlando Goodwill, but since it's hardly winter appropriate, I layered it under a cozy gray thermal ($2.99, from a discount store in Queens) for an outing to New Jersey with friends.
It was super cold out and I had a long way to travel, so I stuck to the utilitarian theme with a snug puffer coat, scored at a Salvation Army Coat sale last year for around $10, as well as my comfy gray jeans ($5.50, from St. George's Thrift Shop). I finished off the look with my black riding boots ($88, from Aldo), my gray beanie ($4) and a large, multi-chain necklace (gifted). I also added a set of silver rings I had purchased on Ebay for a little over $4, including shipping. The cozy camo look came out to just under $28, and with shoes, everything head-to-toe outfit was around $116.
