I spent yesterday--a drizzly and unusually warm Sunday--exploring DUMBO with bloggers Sunita V and Francisca of Fancy Francy. We kicked off the afternoon with some coffee, then headed to Archway Cafe for sandwiches and soup, and in between noshing, we took advantage of the mild temps to do a mini photo shoot in front of the Brooklyn Bridge.
My rainy-day look included a pair of tan ankle boots ($20, purchased at an Urban Outfitters end-of-season sale last year) and my trusty old trench coat (also $20, from TJ Maxx). I added a pair of tights, a zippered black skirt ($4, Unique Thrift Store), and a comic strip-inspired graphic sweatshirt I scored at a discount store in Queens for $11.99. (The piece is totally reminiscent of Phillip Lim's "Ka-Pow" pullover, which has since been reinvented for Target's recent 3.1 Phillip Lim collaboration. You can find the Target version on sale online for around $21 right now.)
I finished off the ensemble with a bronze multichain necklace (thrifted forever ago, cost unknown), and head-to-toe, the full look came out to $56.
