Beanie Babies

Happy Friday, thrifters! Fall is in full swing in NYC, and that means plenty of layers. Unfortunately, I underestimated the cold earlier this week, and despite my expert layering, the chilly air definitely left me wishing I had grabbed a scarf or hat before leaving the house. After work, I met up with Sunita V at the outdoor market in Union Square, and since we were both freezing, we picked up a pair of cheap beanie hats for $4 a pop. Luckily, beanie hats are not only super on-trend right now, but they're also totally practical and available at nearly every NYC tourist shop for just a few bucks. Gotta love an egalitarian fashion statement!

For the rest of my look, I wore a floral blouse from ClosetDash ($6.50), my comfy gray jeans ($5.50) from St. George's Thrift Shop and layered with a thick, oversized cardigan ($7.99, Goodwill). To keep extra warm, I added my classic trench coat ($20, purchased on sale at TJ Maxx) and wore a pair of leather boots scored for just $5 at Cauz for Pawz. (They're definitely worn at the toes, but I prefer my leather a little beat up!) With the beanie ($4) and a pair of borrowed sunnies, my head-to-toe outfit, with shoes, came out to just under $50. Not too shabby!
